The idea behind the design of the E-Cargoville LJ is to enable novice cargo riders, regardless of gender or height, to instantly move easily and safely through traffic. This is achieved by several key factors:

• A low centre of gravity for a stable ride even under load.
• An optimized seat angle, guaranteeing effective and ergonomic pedalling. Despite covering a range of riders measuring 1.6 to 1.9 metres in height, you can always comfortably place both feet on the ground.
• A low step through height makes mounting and unmounting easy, even for smaller riders.
• The steering angle and rake of the fork is designed in such a way that makes the bike handle easily while cornering or going slow, while being stable when you go faster.
• The chassis is very stiff to minimise flex or wobbling during your ride. This gives the rider a reassuring and direct feel for the bike.
• A tilted steering column, the Power Dome, not only acts as battery case and cable management feature but also provides a natural feel of the bike.

The Secure Stand Concept covers two scenarios: stopping during a ride and parking your bike.

The first means that, no matter the rider’s height, he or she can always comfortably place both feet on the ground while stopping. This means the rider can easily and securely balance a fully laden bike without tipping over.

The second refers to the actual stand of the bike. As there are no off-the-shelf solutions we had to come up with our own kickstand. It can handle the full system weight of the bike and provides a secure stand, even on an incline in any direction. And it is, of course, rattle free.

The central idea of Everyday Suitability is to maximise convenience and accessibility as much as possible. The rider should not have to care about how individual components work but intuitively have an understanding of their function the moment he or she gets on the bike. Likewise, there is little to no learning curve to ride this bike if you are comfortable riding a regular bicycle.

Additionally, features like the Long Range Option to mount a second battery for increased range, or a selection of accessories improve Everyday Suitability by adding specific functionalities. The loading bay is designed to fit many standard sized containers (Euro containers, beverage crates, etc.) and features lashing points to tie down and secure the load.
